Kiri Allan (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Rarawa) provides advice to the National Iwi Chairs Forum in Te Pou Take Āhuarangi for emergency management and climate adaptation, and is a former Minister for Emergency Management. She works with marae, hapū and hapori to undertake natural risk hazard assessments to ensure communities are equipped to plan for climate adaptation at place. In addition to hands-on work in communities, she provides advice on emergency management policy development and law reform, climate adaptation policy and law reform as well enabling renewable energy projects.
