Through this official commitment, GNS and MBC are combining our complementary expertise to support international partners pursue efficient and sustainable solutions in geothermal energy development.

Both MB Century and GNS Science have worked at the forefront of geothermal energy development and optimisation for decades.
Attended by global leaders in the geothermal sector and representatives from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the Relationship Agreement was announced by the New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines on the eve of the 4th Philippine International Geothermal Conference (PIGC).
As the third-largest geothermal energy generator in the world, the Philippines market holds a pivotal role in our partnership. For over a decade, GNS and MBC have developed strong ties by providing geoscience and geoengineering expertise to the sector. In recognition of this, our relationship agreement extends to officially supporting the Philippines geothermal sector in achieving ambitious decarbonization goals set by the government.
Greg Thompson, CEO MB Century says the agreement also focuses on other international key markets such as Indonesia, Taiwan, and Japan, with plans to expand into the USA, South America, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Turkey, and Italy.
